Dear Friends and Neighbors –

At our meeting last month, the Board of Trustees approved the creation of a Finance Committee.  The Finance Committee will be charged with:

  • Evaluating the Village’s financial operations and making recommendations for improvement, if necessary;
  • Working with the Village Clerk in evaluating and improving our budgeting process, as appropriate;
  • Working with the Village Clerk in evaluating and improving the Village’s financial reporting and communication processes, as appropriate;
  • Making recommendations on the establishment of appropriate reserves;
  • Evaluating and making recommendations regarding the viability and priority of future projects.

We are looking for 3-5 volunteers with experience in financial and planning matters to assist the Trustees in these important and forward-looking issues.  If you would like to be part of the Finance Committee, please contact Tony Lafata and provide him with a brief bio explaining your experience.  Tony can be reached at villageoflltrustee@gmail.com.

Also, please note that the Trustees’ meeting previously scheduled for September 10th has been canceled and will be held September 16th.  A Planning and Zoning Commission meeting will be held on September 10th.
